I`m trying to setup client mode, but I cant connect to any remote network. In status tab i see:
MAC Address 00:21:91:XX:XX:XX
Radio
Radio is On
Mode Client
Network Mixed
SSID YYY
Channel Unknown
TX Power 17 dBm
Rate Auto
ACK Timing 45µs (300m)
Encryption - Interface ath0
Enabled, WPA2 Personal
PPTP Status Disconnected
In site survey remote network has:
Rssi: -11 Noise: -98 (both router are in the same room)
If I click join I see:
Successfully joined the following network as a client: YYY
After that in status tab, channel number is not listed, Access Point: - None -
DHCP is not getting IP, setting it static does not helps.
Any other mode is working perfect, in AP mode I can connect to device, WAN and LAN port are working as ordered.

Sorry, I can not help, but I can confirm that exactly the same problem exists on my airlink ar-430w (same hardware). I think that we need a ticket in Trac.
I did that too. Even tried different security at both ends with no success.
I have downgraded to v24 SP1 STABLE, now client mode works, but there is new problem...
After sucessfull connection to remote AP in "client mode", dhcp on LAN port are not working good. Some time I have to plug and unplug ethernet cable 1-3 time beforce dhcp starts to working. On SP2 dhcp works fine.

I've found that build 16214 from 17-Feb-2011 works well on my 430W. Client mode, dhcp, virtual AP etc. all work.

Problem with DHCP on WAN port are common for all Atheros, RaLink, Broadcom
I got:
